New Hulk Movie on the Horizon

So it seems our hopes for a new Hulk solo film should not be lost just yet. According to the original Hulk, Lou Ferrigno, a hulk movie is being planned.

Here’s his exact quote:

“Now because he saved the day, they’re making another solo Hulk movie after the second Avengers comes out.”

What Hulk story should they do? A Planet Hulk movie is the most desired, if not overly practical in terms of Hollywood standards. Though it would have the Hulk in a team setting, which it seems is where he thrives the best, it also means a buttload of CGI effects. Not to mention I personally believe the movie adaptation should be a two parter or even a trilogy (which I doubt Hollywood would pay for) to give the story any true justice. And just who would play the Hulk? Would Mark Ruffalo even be necessary since 99% of the story is Hulk and Banner only shows up once, maybe twice?

As a Hulk fan my life would be complete with a truly well done Planet Hulk movie, but how would it adopt to a larger audience who wouldn’t be aware of this story line? But then again if Hollywood is willing to take a chance on a fairly unknown group like ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ maybe there is hope.

I think it’s more likely to see a story akin to the animated series “Agents of S.M.A.S.H.’ which has numerous other gamma friends and a setting still here on Earth. But I think most Hulk fans including myself don’t really feel positive about this animated series…so lets hope they skip that idea.

Honestly lets just have the Hulk battle his archnemesis The Leader (hinted at in ‘The Incredible Hulk’ movie) and include a few lesser known characters from his story line to help out. Much like they did in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ with Falcon. He could team up with other heroes from such groups as the Defenders (which included the likes of Dr.Strange, Silver Surfer, and Namor).

In any case, a new Hulk movie seems to be most definitely coming. So prepare yourself for a gamma blasted future!
